Wasn't there some program called Back Orifice a few years ago? It was susposed to be revolutionary in bypassing security, but that was probably because it exploited wind0ze in itself, rather then being made by programming gods. Then again, it could be argued that it is very difficult to hack(ok crack whatever) a system head on, and those who use exploits to gain access are simply targeting weakpoints. Their knowledge of weakpoints and how to exploit them makes them experts in their own way.
Interesting to know about that image thing. Although with a secure cookie set-up, they probably coulden't figure out where the IP came from. My Mozilla is set up to ALWAYS ask for cookie acceptance. Still, moral of the story, don't be unreasonable on message boards(although it's better then chatrooms).
