The word freeware has been used for more than 20 years to describe proprietary software which is distributed at no charge.  So I feel comfortable using it to describe the piece of software in question.

Yes. UT kicks ass, it's fast and customizable, and I dig the engine (superior to Quake III Arena at the time).
I've installed other games too, but they're in the PlayOnLinux menu.

Jazz Jackrabbit 2 was made in the Netherlands, so it has a very strong fanbase here.

There are still lots of servers multiplayer (but don't go to those TSF Hotel servers, they suck).

Yeah. I went on about a year ago and I was amazed by how many people still play it. Someone needs to make a new PC based JJ2, none of this Half Life 2 stuff . Woot for happy games.
