Suicide Belt Inventor Files Claim
Jerusalem (Reuters). Rahid Ahmad Saed, a 65-year-old Egyptian engineer, has filed an intellectual property lawsuit against the Palestine Liberation Organization, claiming it has repeatedly violated his patent, filed in 1997, for a wearable waist-mounted explosive device with ultra-low profile and string trigger action. If the inventor wins, the PLO will have to pay up to $1.7 billion in royalties and revert to largely ineffective traditional bombing. Saed insists his lawsuit is not intended to complicate the bombers
