>>You can if your BIOS supports it.
I know, it won't boot. Tried it.
>>Now that's just plain biased.
No, that's just dumb. The Installer should know what the fuck it's doing and not ask you to figure it out.
>>That's because Mac OS doesn't come with a defrag >>program, you have to go out and buy one.
No, there are several free ones. And I, being a Mac user for years, have defraged my HD's more than once. I have never seen the degree of fragmentation 98 left on my disk.
>>*is tempted to say a similar thing about Linux*
All *NIX's are very good about keeping themselves organized. They don't need to be defraged. Some argue that if you run a system with high I/O like a server you should defrag, but for everyone else, it's unecessary.
>>Oh, it does support it. Once again, you're being >>biased.
Didn't work for me. But there is another windoze hangup. Inconsistency! Maybe some folks like variety, but I like a system that behaves the same way twice.
>>In what? AppleScript? HyperCard? ResEdit? I'd >>like to know.
No dildo, C/C++, PPC ASM.
Not to mention that apple themselves have provided some excellent sweets in their days. MPW and Project builder. All free! Let's see microshit do that.
