One of my web/mail/more servers.. I had one with over two years of uptime but we shut down the office that that one was in. This machine hosts around 25 web sites and mail for about 50 users, among other things.

I've seen Windows 2000 run for a month without crashing, but still... not 2 years!

Windows can't have that kind of uptime, that is if you want to keep it upgraded. Seems you still can't apply service packs etc on Windows without having to reboot. You can upgrade "almost" everything with Linux without having to reboot. About the only thing that hasn't been upgraded on that machine is the kernel itself. Almost all of my machines stay up from the time they are installed until the time they are decomissioned or replaced with new hardware. The one with over 2 years was running RedHat 5.2, this one is running 7.0. I actually have a new machine slated to replace it but I just hate losing all that uptime. Looks good on netcraft.
