hacking TV stealing too?

as I was reading one of the articles about how someone was going to nuke all illegal copies of MS products, I was wondering.  How does everyone feel about people who hack DISH Network, and DTV?  is that the same as mp3's?
you think you know me......

If its pirate music, its bad, if its software... i give about 2 rats asses most of the time. Music should always be paid for in the exception of EMINEM.

You are so right.

I quote:

We (the producer and I) have found a formula to make 'music', and that is successful. We will proceed to work by this formula until we are forced to use another when record sales decrease.

This is what Emmy said on MTV ... what a rediculous pile of beans.

i though cable theft was the act of climbing the pole and wiring your self up, and not the fact that you havn't touched a thing and can get the signal. and for my opinion on satilite tv, how about i send an invoice of $500 per hour per channel that they beam through me. i bet i could raise hell with the "unknown longterm dangeres" or something like that?

Yes, but does Emmy specfically say he agrees or disagrees with filesharing?

Oh and it doesn't just apply for Emmy, it applies for most mainstream groups in the industry. Just because Eminem is a mainsteam rapper who alot of people hate, boo-hoo big deal. If you pirate off him, go for Dre, go for Limp Bizkit, go for Metallica, go for Backstreet boys(hopefully not) etc.

ALL mainstreamers are the problem, I fucking hate it when people diss Eminem just because there is an anti-eminem bandwagon.

Yes, music should always be paid for except for the music I like. It's not the people who download music that are screwing the musicians over, its the music companies that are taking all the money and giving the artists so little.

yes, by pirating music we hurt the companies, not the musicians. but, if the companies did pay their musicians well, and these musicians recieved the respect we feel they deserve. we would still pirate the music. therefore, i think we should not pirate their crappy music. instead, i feel we should support our local bands/talent. help to create a community that is for the music, instead of for the money.

If you like the Music chances are you going to buy the CD.  Its like Radio. I remember taping all new songs and exchanging copies with my friends. Big freaking deal.
Plus a big number of artists support this p2p. They are not THRILLED about it, but they realize that its kinda radio, and that their music is getting more popular. That means that if the artist is good, he will have a long run and not be a one hit wonder, plus more sales in tickets in concerts.

And for real. Its neato to go get a CD of a kick ass artist, and have the cover CD and all that.

As for as the one hit wonders. Oh Oh! Go flip a fucking burger.

bazoukas is correct. as i pointed out elsewhere it is my opinion that music piracy and software piracy are about as different from each other as pearl diving and muff diving.

File sharing is very similar to radio, welldone that man for pointing that out.

software piracy on the other hand sucks cock as there is no reason to do it in this day and age when most decent software is Free.

File sharing is good.  It is just like radio.

I can't believe some people actually support the ban on file sharing.  I guess the content cartel's propaganda works.  Open your mind and realize this is just history repeating itself.  If this were the 1930s you people would be saying the exact same thing about radio that you are today about p2p.  Sure, radio hurts the artists and stifles creativity.  The first radio station got sued and all as well.
