He has already fucked them up. The new Star Wars episodes were far more inferior than the original ones. It's really a shame...

I hear this over and over and over. I personaly see no diffrence. Tho I think that the remasterd trilogy was a bit of a mistake, and I deffinetly think Lucas should leave well enugh alone.

But in the end, I don't see what is so "inferior" about his recent offerings. They are basically the same in quality.

Cheesy acting... no one tell me there was good acting in the origional trillogy, I'm sorry, but sometimes the dialogue was as if they were reading from the script.

Fun story... I don't think Star Wars was ever ment to be more than fun action adventure. People take the stuff WAY to seriously.

Great Special effects... this certainly has not changed.

Granted, things like the midi clorine and the virgin birth are a bit dumb IMHO, and should have never been added.

I hated Anakin in the first and second movies, and belive it or not I never really minded Jar Jar, I mean seriously, C3PO got pretty annoying at times in the first three movies and Jar Jar basically fills the same nich. But anakin is a whinny brat in the first and second film. I can't see him ever becomeing vader.

Can you imagine darth vader whinning to the emperor about he he never lets him do what he want's etc. HAHAHAHAHA!  :D

conceptually i don't see anything wrong with this. I was a huge fan of Roy Thomas' fantastic comic book series "the All-Star Squadron" in the early eighties, what he did was he coined the term "retroactive continuity", basically he rewrote all the stories published by All-American, National, and Quality comics from the first half of the 1940s (the period of the original All-Star Comics number 1 to about 12) and basicall wrote a lot of little stories that fitted inbetween to explain why certain characters didn't remember certain things, why this happened or that didn't, where Superman and the other big guys were during Pearl Harbour, why the All-Stars didn't just whup Hitler's butt in a day anyway and so on. It's very convincing and it was well done, so conceptually i see nothing wrong with Lucas doing the same thing here.

Also, might i add that i have never seen the original movies, i am going to wait and see them all in order you see, i have seen ep1 and ep2 but not any of the originals. by the time i have seen ep3, it looks like i may have multiple versions of 4, 5 and 6 to choose from! It is a pity that Lucas has decided he is too doddery to make 7, 8 and 9 though, i can only hope that somebody will take up the reins for this feat.

Seems that George is gonna have Natalie Portman doing something in Jedi, I imagine this will have something to do somewhere with the celebration sequence, because I swear to God if he makes her a blue shimmery ghost thing somebody is gonna need an asswhuppin'.   We've also heard that Jar Jar was going to end up in A NEW HOPE.
While i applaud retroactive continuity as a concept, i groan in awkwardness at some of the proposed insertions, i will personally help with the asswhuppin' if ms Portman does turn up as a ghost. Also, i reckon Jar Jar Binks should have been shot. preferably BEFORE the start of episode one. He almost had a reason for being included in ep2, but only just. Maybe this can be rectified when the retroactive continuity scissors close in on these films in their turn?

i didnt like Episode I. the kid who played Anakin sucks at acting; throughout the pod race he only did three different facial expressions, that all looked pretty stupid.
There is no way i believe that Anakin built 3-CP0 and left him when he left.

Are you sure that its that you were younger when you saw the other episodes and therefore inside the aimed audience band? If it wasn't for the droids attempt at humor and way too much special effects Episode II would've been fucking brilliant.

I think that our problem now is that we are much older, and out of the mindframe that allows us to recapture the spirit like we did when we saw the first three movies. For me, at least, I know that there are tons of movies I liked as a kid that when I watch them now, I cannot get over how unconceivebly horrible they are. When I go to see the new Star Wars films, I kind of have to put myself back into that mindset to capture the thing.  It kind of feels good in a way.

Anyways, the new movies.....I don't think the acting was any better or worse than the previous films, with the exception that the one good actor (Harrison Ford) is missing.  Ewen McGregor is a good actor, but he just doesn't cut it for me overall.  It's probably due to the fact that I always thought that Obi-Wan was a bit of a pussy and kind of boring.  There have never been any Oscar winners in Star Wars, and I doubt that we will ever see any.  Luke's acting was terrible, now that watch it.

"Luke...I am your father....."

"Noooooooo!!!!!"

"But I wanted to go to Toshi Station and pick up some power converters!!"

LOL! Fucking horrible!!  But when you were a kid, it was great. The story sucked you right in so you didn't care.

I have a feeling that Episode three is going to kill all of the other ones..even Empire.  You know it is going to end on a dark note, like Empire, and that a whole bunch of people are going to bite the dust.  I even have the plot figured out.  Anakin is going to turn to the dark side by a temptation from the emporer and get lured in when he seeks revenge on Count Dooku for slicing off his arm.  Remember in Jedi when The Emporer told Luke that his hate had made him powerful, and to strike Vader down and take his place at his side?  I have a feeling the same thing is going to happen here.II

well Mace Windu, it seems that a character from star wars has come here himself. What the hell were they thinking when the put in Shaft to play Mace Windu??
Episode I is a pile of shit. I hate that kid, he sucked at acting. He is the absolute worse acter I have ever seen (even worse than Bill Cosby.... Okay maybe i am exagerating). I didnt see the first three movies until about a year before the "special edition" copies of them cam out. So it wasnt back in the 70's when they first came out and those special offects were top -o- the line.
