My anti-MSN rant for today
« on: 22 April 2003, 16:45 »
Well that makes an hour.
AN HOUR
an hour of trying to sign on to MSNs instant messaging service (which I have to use cause all my friends do and without it I couldnt talk to them)
MSNs IM service is the only Microsoft service I use, and I don't use any of their software.
The people I know seem to love Windows, seriously, no really they do, anyway, they all tell that "MSN works fine for them"
Does anyone think that this is true, is it just that  someone at Microsoft has it in for me, maybe because I use Gaim instead of there client program? maybe because I use Linux? maybe because the email address I use for my Microsoft passport is [email protected]?

Or maybe, Microsoft just makes a crappy instant messaging service

The box said "Requires Windows 95 or better." I can't understand why it won't work on my Linux computer.

Dumb question really, never mind if you've already done this: maybe you should sign up for a .NET passport first before trying to sign on to MSN Messaging?

Sometimes MSN is down. Don't worry about it.

my signin is a fuckhotmail.com one too, and i never had any problems (apart from the usual as mentioned above). why not get your idiot windoid friends to use gaim (yes, it's available for windows) so they can all get yahoo and AIM signins as well? that way you won't have this problem since odds are at least one of them will be online at any one time.

or you could just email your windoid friends some viruses to remind them how stable their operating system is.
