Apparently, the code SCO is bitching about was bought from Novell in 1995.  Novell is claiming that when the purchase took place that the software patents were never transferred, and are thus still owned by Novell.

And also, debunked or not, they will keep going until they are debunked in court.  And they have M$ funded lawyers at their disposal, it won't be easy no matter how stupid SCO's case is.  All this over only about 80 lines of code.

Nice analogy.  Too bad I know nothing about the Dukes of Hazard.  Must have been before my time, and I grew up in the south where hick shows like that never go off the air. :-D

That show wouldn't be allowed on the air nowadays.  The car they drove was covered with a confederate flag, and named the General Lee.
