I use winXP, I use(d) everything that had windows name on it. (if you have a FORD you use FORD parts right?) I was reading about microsofts tactics and bloating software, I've been through some of the threads here, I used a utility to plug up some windows "phone home" features, I downloaded Opera (why is so much faster?) got rid of IE and WMP, downloaded winamp (nice sound). Thx for opening my eyes.

Now I have to transfer over everyone my MSN to ICQ and find a replacement for Outlook.

Anyways, thank god there's alot of smart people around. Keep up the good work.
I wouldn't doubt it's microsofts fault I'm ugly. :(

if i had a FORD, first i would replace the chassis with one from a chev/GM
Then i would replace the body with a fiberglass shell (custom made).
Then i would replace the engine with a 350 Chevy small block, with dual carbuerators and a supercharger, with a scoop on top.
I would take out the stereo and speakers, then replace it with a 300 WATT stereo system.
I would put in 4-point safety harnesses.
i cant think of very much else to replace.

why dont you get linux?
I suggest that if you must use windows, use the trillian messenger, it doesnt have its own IRC, but it will load other instant messengers for you.
It can load MSN, ICQ, Yahoo, AIM, IRC.

Trillian, good stuff.

Would you be as so kind as to point out where, a guy who has NEVER used anything but windows for an OS, would begin to research linux? I know nothing about it, but I am very eager to bid farewell to windows.

Thanks for the info btw.

I would keep the ford as is, because im a ford man

I would put in 4x600w Subwoofers and amps.

I would also put in a FORD 560ci (8 l33ters) with a turbo
in it and

But i removed my "Start Menu" keys and i think i will  use one for my reset button

regarding your question about how to get started in linux if you are a total Microsoft windows user, is something somebody else asked recently.
hop on over to this thread and see what i said in reply, it has a link to a short online book that i am finding very useful.
