Another thing that is stopping game developers from making Linux ports of thier games is the lack of interest in Linux. 90% of the Linux community demands that the devolper releases the source code with thier games and software. The problem with that is it makes it easy for anybody to steal what the developer worked hard for to create. Also, most of the Linux community demands that stuff for Linux is released under GPL(General Public License) so they can legally freely distribute the software. Alot of people who use Linux do not have any/much money(which is why they are always shouting about how great free software is), therefore they are not going to go out and buy software and games.

Some of the other people at PlanetHardware.com actually have good posts, but somehow this loser managed to be one of the moderators.

Blah Blah Zombie..............
*meow!* I didn't say Linux was easier, I said it was better, Dumbass!

I paid 80 dollars for red hat linux 7...

I think "free" as used by the GNU/Linux community means "freedom," not "free lunch."

I like Windows just as much as Zombie does, but I think he's discrediting too many Linux users by saying they are all dirty cheapskates.

I've spent as much as $40,000 on a single Dell Intel based PC server, and then stuck Linux on it. Am I a cheapskate? I guess I could have spent $500,000 on a Sun and ran Solaris. Maybe he has a point.

But I disagree that Linux users demand the source code from game developers. Nobody is screaming at the existing proprietary game developers that have games ported to Linux for the source. I don't have any problem with Game developers porting their games to Linux and not giving me the source (as long as they don't use GPL code within their game and write all of their own code from scratch). It would be an added pleasure if they did but it isn't necessary.
Someone please remove this account. Thanks...

XP User is right. Zombie is confusing the basic principles. Free software ISN'T NECESSARILY Open Source, and vice versa.

We take a measurement, the wavefunction will collapse, and one of the bottles of beer will fall

80 Bucks, damn!

Dont get them direct from Red-Hat, i have been getting all mine from everythinglinux which buy them in bulk from red-hat which means they can sell them very cheap. I get red-Hat for $30-$40 bucks (AUD) from everythinglinux.com.au which are authentic Red-Hat copys. They have docs, source cd's and everything.
