Microsoft Suprise...Linux?

Well, Yes, i use Windows but to only lsiten to mp3's, cuz my mandrake cant play audio cd's... anyway, one day i was kinda....um...doign something can i come across this..

Indeed, and this has even been reported by news websites. It appears that they are using a ported version M$ IIS on Linux.

It Detects It And Stuff... My Players Say The Soundtrack Name, And Says the length ect. I Press Play, it plays but no sound, when my other programs make sound. im guessing i should logon as root. (btw mandrake 9.1)

That's odd. I have used Mandrake 9.1 before, and I had no such problem. Maybe you should check Kmix (or some other mixer), perhaps the CD volume is simply too low?

i'm using RH9, and have the same problem.  it;s some sort of a hardware problem.  i'm not esactly sure, but it's something like the audio output from ur CR-ROM drive needs to be connected to ur sound card.
