Sorry, but that is the imperssion I get. It just snowballed out of control. Someone says something, someone else takes it the wrong way, then zang, everyone gets on the defensive. I dont know who started this mac vs linux thing, but it needs to stop. The argument never gets anywhere. Even now, i think we are going to start fighting over who's defending their os against whom

I am not trying to attack Linux. I use linux. alot. But i'm a mac user first. So when i feel that my OS is under attack im going to defend it.

Let's just say that OS X is technically better at the moment, but Linux gives you more freedom.  That seems pretty fair.

ahh i was killed

nah. I'm around, but my forum of choice is Erudition

and, I think that's a fair statement. I don't think any OS is freeer or more open than Linux.

but... about the flame wars, it always starts with one of two things... someone takes a stab at Mac OS, usually false information. Be it a mistake, or an outright lie.

Someone says the truth, and from there it blows up.

Or, someone states an opinion re: Linux that is negative, and the flames fly.

I can't talk bad about X11 without being "an asshole"... but... I am, so it's cool.

the problem is this place has a lot of pussies

ok I did not eant to start a flame war but this is rediculus In this post I just wanted someone to prove to me that I was generalising but instead I start a flame war this is weird.

I'm neutral in this because I use both linux and mac os x 10.2.8 Later this year when I have some free time I may even be able experiment with linux on the mac mac os is way cool and so is linux its only a matter of time when the two platforms merge

Also, neither I nor Jimmy James were the ones who started criticising Linux.

I doubt if you were even born when people started that.

Just out of interest, do you ever use commas? I mean have you ever used one?
