on my winME side, the first thing i do after any (periodically necessary) reinstalls is uninstall IExplore using IEradicator (which works fine) and install Opera instead. To avoid any problems, i make a copy of "Opera.exe", call it "IExplore, exe" and put it in my C:/Progra~1/Opera directory, then if a pernickety dialogue box cries out that it needs to know the location of IExplore.exe, i can point it in exactly the right direction, works like a charm. Opera saves all it's "hidden files" data in one file, in plain site, you can safely set it up to be deleted every time windows exits, instructions are elsewhere in these forums.
On the subjext of that virus, i would not run it if i received it, i would not believe it was beneficial. it will not catch on that one, i guarantee it.
