Fritz chip used for program licensing?
« on: 14 November 2002, 08:20 »
According to m$ and everyone else working on the fritz chip it will not be used for program licensing however two people in the US found out ever way m$ and everyone else can use it to license apps and patented them all.

So now it would be illegal for m$ to use the fritz chip to license software

btw. Im searching for the article I read this from

Tip for win98 (l)users: type copy /con/con in your command prompt to increase stability

You forgot that Microsoft has a lot of money. And usually people who rush to patents are only looking to get rich. Microsoft would surely buy out the patents. As you know they bought GL patents and many other video patents from SGI recently. They do this all the time.

Actually the reason why they patented this is to prevent m$ and others from doing that.
