MS to share Source Code to China.
zooloo:
It's because the Chinese belive MS stuff had backdoors for the US security services to use.
China is not wrong.
TheKnifeThrower:
Im sure they are showing them a modified version for the source code as is with everyone viewing it.
lazygamer:
That's a logical assumption. Two problems:
1)Windows source code is HUGE! Far too much to significantly modify.
2)The people who make it, know it, and have to edit it are incompetent to a certain degree. The result is that extra sensitive code is not properly modified.
UNLESS, they simply chop out massive blocks of code. Nonetheless, #1 and #2 still come into play. Of course I wonder if it's possible to notice pieces missing. IE:"This section does something and is connected to section B." But where's section B?
SAJChurchey:
Wow,
Open-Source is un-American and is a threat to capitalism. Yet he gives source code to a communist country. Can someone smell hypocrisy? '
That's the best thing about windows code being so huge. U can close ur eyes, point and find a bug. w/ little or no possibility of hitting the table or white space anything.
AlexMax:
Can you say TREASON!?!?
