Help my search...
« on: 25 April 2003, 02:23 »
I am looking for web hosting that is relatively cheap, and supports PHP, MYSql, unlimited emails, and unlimited bandwidth. My search thus far has yielded little. Only a few requirements have been reached. Unlimited bandwidth is the important one, and lots of space. If anyone knows of a good host, that meets a majority of my requirements, it will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.

Unlimited bandwidth? I don't know. I've done so many searches in the past for good hosts but I never saw any option for unlimited bandwidth.

Oh and if you intend on running xoops, make sure they (your host) has PHP version 4.1.1 and up installed as well as PHPMyAdmin. You'd be surprised by how many hosts don't provide the latter. I wish I could help more.   ;)

Oh yes. Unlimited is usually a no-no: probably means they're running some RackShack.net server off of Cogent (make sure you don't get Cogent bandwidth! it's a cheapo spam ISP!).

I'd suggest going to www.webhostingtalk.com and looking around, and searching for any host you're planning on getting. I know the one you picked can sometimes be a real bitch.
