A server question

<< < (2/4) > >>

hm_murdock:
use DHCP

WMD:
I installed Apache on Windows 95 a while back.  It wasn't pretty.  :D   And 95 = ME in lousyness for that job.

As for ISP support for Linux, you only need it if you have one of those USB "modems" that some give out.  If it's ethernet, you'll be okay.

hm_murdock:
I still hate the idea of calling cable NICs "modems".

insomnia:
Go for the popular LAMP connection.

Linux
Apache
MySQL
PHP/Perl/Python

HW that doesn't support Linux isn't meant for server-use.

Refalm:
Who cares if your ISP doesn't support Linux offially. Mine doesn't. There're only a few who do.

But it doesn't mean that your internet connection won't work on Linux.
