1) Find a blanket and the next time you see your IP pop his head out from under your desk snare his little ass.
2) There is nothing you can do short of installing Linux. Windows is designed to fook up. Makes you want to spend more money on an "upgrade".

how proxy works:

you send to the proxy server what you want to download, the proxy server downloads it and sends it to you. So anyone that tries to see your IP will see the IP of the proxy.
