Yes (using Mozilla 1.1a), first go to Edit | Preferences | Navigator | Tabbed Browsing | and check all options.

Restart Mozilla and try holding [Ctrl] while clicking on a link or entering a web-address...

Such thing doesn't excist... (open Mozilla Composer, press Ctrl+L, click on "Advanced edit", select "Target". If such a thing excisted, you would think Mozilla supported their own tag, but such tag doesn't excist).

You can try contacting Mozilla.org about it, because
Code: [Select]
would be very kewl indeed...

Opera suports tabs, Tabbed browsing kicks ass, but the Microsofties will probably put it in IE 7 when its made. (Arrrrrrrrrrrrrrrggggggggggggghhhhhhhh!)

Mozila tabs kick ass. Opera pisses me off.

opera wins, but mozilla is nearly as good (and of course i prefer mozilla purely because it is GNU and opera isn't).

re: opening in a new tab, i think it would solve the problem if you could set your mozilla locally to open new tabs instead of new windows, but you can't. which sucks. Plus with that setup, you could not be sure that the reader of your site had it set that way, but who cares? if they didn't have it set that way then it would be because they preferred to have a new window open up instead of a new tab.

i hope there does not become a new tab opening tag since it would only add to the wrong unsupported html that netscape and Microsoft love so much.

it should become a normal standerd, and microsoft doesn't support it. netscape, opera, mozilla, and konqueror would support it.

it would be nice if it became a normal standard but as a rule i am against any markup entering common use unless it goes through the w3c. havoc ensues if people just do their own useless nonconformist html, as history will attest.

1) Shut the fuck up.
2) Your crappy IE browser doesn't even have tabs.
3) Lucky for you, Microsoft FrontPage supports
Code: [Select]
or you wouldn't even know what it meanth.

Yeah... like Microsoft did with the bgsound tag... they just release some tags of their own, while the embed tag is much better than bgsound.

have you ever saved a .doc file as html? try doing it in Microsoft office tnen do exactly the same thing in OpenOffice.org.

then go and view the source of both of the newly created documents. The openoffice one is written in... HTML!!! what a surprise!
but... the one you saved using M$ word is written in.... FUCKING JIBBERISH!!! hooray!

rifuckingdiculous.

1. Only if you do. (equal rights)
2. It's called NetCaptor. Observe.
3. How did YOU learn about it then?
4. You didn't answer my original question: doesn't _blank already open a new tab in Mozilla?

Prepare to lose coolness points.
