The RIAA now wants the FCC to enforce radio stations to implement DRM technologies into their broadcasts so that people with digital radio services cannot record and distribute the music.

I can always connect my speaker output to my tape recorder (professional one, not MC or 8-track).
How'd you stop THAT?  :D

WMD:
I lot of radio stations (here at least) have the announcer keep talking during the first 15 seconds of the song.  Much more practical than DRMing something...

Easy...all they have to do for that is broadcast an audio version of Macrovision.

However they don't care about people taping on to analog stuff.
