I don't really understand any of that shit, but it obviously looks like desperation on the part of M$.
I think they are dealing with the realization that, regardless of how many bells and whistles you stick in M$ products, Linux will always be in demand.
It's funny to see how much effort they put into fighting an intangible entity such as Linux. They're strategy has always been to buy, or undercut the competition.
You can't buy Linux, and you can't drive it into bankruptcy.
The stories about M$ buying Redhat are hilarious too! Even if they did, what would happen? I know I wouldn't be using Redhat anymore! I'd be installing something else 5 seconds after I was sure it wasn't another hoax!
