Right now I am playing driver and I want to play my own MP3's in the background, but both Winamp and WMP stop playing once I get into Driver.  I want to ask, is there a Windows equivilant to renice like Linux and OSX have?

Doesn't answer your question, but if you pop a CD into you CD drive it'll play the CD. Automatically.  

You can change program priorities by doing a three finger salute, and choose
task manager>Processes tab>right click on process>Set priority> Set the dern priority

Tried to play MP3's with Realplayer, Windows Media Player, and Winamp. and playing with the priority level. But the game kept crashing.

I think DirectX will be blocking the other apps.
