Linux will never have what it takes to overthrow Windows.

HPC GUY:
can you say fluffing the numbers?

i guess they are counting corporations and enterprise editions as any where from 10-100 people per license. pure garbage...

lazygamer:
You have to gauge their intellectual levels to. In summary, being a script kiddy just got easier.  ;)

voidmain:
And of course there going to be higher numbers of Windows, that's what happens when that's all you can get preinstalled on a computer from a computer store.  However, the number of Linux and Mac copies are definitely on the rise.  And there are signs that preinstalled Linux may be coming.  And there really is no way to "count" the copies of Linux floating around anyway.  Sure you can count the copies that are bought in a store, and the copies that are downloaded but there is nothing to prevent you from getting a copy of Linux and installing that one copy on hundreds of computers, like what usually happens.  The copy I download is probably used on between 50 and 100 machines alone.

Calum:
how could anybody ever know how many copies there were of a system that is entirely made to be copied on people's personal cdrws?

ludicrous.

back to the drawing board, zombie749374893, is that what you've been up to all this time? finding that link? or were you at a lan party with xpmoron31798738913271892 who seems to share your number fetish?
