i dont trust any of the realnetworks shit. I heard from www.grc.com that it tries to "phone home" too.

it's a Novell advert which seriously brings into question M$' ability to put out a good server OS, i was quite shocked!

this brings me to another point.
Anybody know of something to play realmedia files in linux? there must be something, so what is it?
that way you don't have to use windows, and you don't have to run spyware and you still get to see the movie...

Realplayer for Linux. You can turn off all the phone home shit just like you can in the Windows version. Of course in both versions all the phone home stuff is turned on by default.
