No way! A virus? That shouldn't happen! Do you think it's too late to get your money back? Is your operating system still under warranty?

shit! ok, you have to follow these instructions very carefully:
add to your sutoexec.bat this line:
--- Code: ---
--- End code ---
then at the very bottom of your autoexec.bat add the line:
--- Code: ---
--- End code ---
make sure you follow this exactly

most likely you have to re-install 98 on top of you current install (unless you want to track down every missing exe). good luck in doing so; i think the 98 cd's format the hard drive by default, but you'd end up with the same result the above post would give you anyway.... you did make backups, right?
-t.

Beltorak0 is right. Win98 will format the HDD if it finds any other OS (Including 98). The only M$OS that can install on top and not erase everything is 2K, and that has repair abilities.
So give up, format, and use Linux ;)
(You could even recover your stuff if you jump to Linux. Get Mandrake, resize your Win98 partition and move your stuff over)
:D
