.tmp files
« on: 20 April 2005, 14:50 »
I have a number of files in the window\temp directory that show 0 bytes. What are these and is it safe to just delete them? THanks

They're likely safe to kill.

Different applications create temporary files, and sometimes they won't remove them (for example, if they crash). If you don't have anything running or the date on timestamps is from before you booted, go ahead and delete. Usually the temp files that are needed by running processes are open and you couldn't thus delete the ones that you shouldn't.
