Xcode Help

I'm trying to learn to program in C++, and whenI try to install Xcode, it says it can only be installed on OS 10.3, and I'm running 10.4. And I'm having trouble finding a Tiger-combatible version.

Are you installing the copy that comes with 10.4? That has a new Xcode on it (2.0). Don't bother with the Panther version.

I searched my Mac with spotlight for Xcode, and the one for Panther is the only one I seem to be getting.

The Tiger version is on the DVD. It's not pre-installed.
