Sorry I wasn't clear enough this is my point; if he wants to run BartPE to use a flashing tool and runs BartPE in VMware it still won't be any good because VMWare still won't allow you direct access to the hardware so either way you're fucked.

No, lol. I meant the BartPE program that creates the livecd disc. Not the livecd itself. I think it can be run in wine but it may need some modifications,
