Reminds me of:

http://rinkworks.com/stupid/cs_stuptech.shtml

And a call I made to Microsoft one day that went something like this:

Me: Goodmorning
Microsoft: Goodmorning Sir
Me: I have a complaint about your operating software Windows XP
Microsoft: Yes...
Me: A piece of software, "Internet Explorer" came pre-installed and I can't seem to uninstall it.
Microsoft: All right, I'll patch you through
Me: Wait, where are you...
* BEEP *
Microsoft: Hello
Me: Hello, I have a complaint about Windows XP. A piece of software called "Internet Explorer" came pre-installed, but I'd like to remove it.
Microsoft: Oh. This is usually when you got Windows with your computer.
Me: No, I bought it seperate.
Microsoft: Have you tried Add/Remove Programs?
Me: Yeah, all it does it removing the shortcuts, but I want to remove it!
Microsoft: All right. Press Windows + Pause and tell me what number you see under "Registered under name of"
Me: * Tells number *
Microsoft: All right, this is a typical OEM version. We'll send you a repair men to remove this uhm...
Me: "Internet Explorer"
Microsoft: Yes. The service costs 90 euro's.
Me: Oh, never mind... I'll figure out a way to uninstall it myself.
