It is stuck in the past. I still see people talking about BSODS. It's not 1999.... You don't get BSODs from explorer crashing or anything else. Only when there is a hardware problem.

What you have to make allowances for is some Linux/BSD/Mac users haven't used Windows for a very long time.

Right we're getting somewhere now, if these threads are in the mod's forum then why did you post this in the public lounge?

Surely the mod's forum would've been a more sensible place, or am I just being silly?

Mod forums are ALWAYS bitch boards. nothing exciting ever happens in them

I admit trolls can be funny, I've even been tempted to sign  up for another account and do some myself. :D  I hope you're not suggesting that we souldn't have binned this shit though.

The problem with this forums is that you ran off all the original characters.

Anyone remember Zombie? Ya... He wasn't against Microsoft, and he did a lot of trolling, but he eventually got okay before he left.

You ran out Void Main, many productive members i don't see anymore like panos, and users with original ideas (i remember avello i think his name was) don't seem to be occuring.

I left in frustration from ... i won't mention names. but i eventually came back anyway

A lot of people left because of the consistent flaming that went on here, over use of declaring people Trolls, and abuse from the mods

Siplus, thats EXACTLY my point.

We've run out the good members.  Yet the forum doesn't want to accept that it isn't what it used to be, it's lost its old greatness.  It died when the site changed names.

We need to accept our place as a has-been forum, our time has come, and gone.

We lost Zombie + a few more members when this site was off line in the Autumn last year. But I agree we've lost some fine members due to flame bait. I've not seen muzzy for a while I expect he's pissed off with people flaming him for his pro-Microsoft views.

To solve this problem we could just email some of the old members inviting them back.

I agree the name Microsuck is very lame and it should be changed back, or if not FuckMicorsoft prehapps KillMicorsoft or ErradicateMicrosoft as this is the Microsoft Erradication socialty after all.

Do you also not think that Microsoft's public relations together with the quality of their software has improved a bit since this site started and people aren't so pissed off with Microsoft as they used to be? I don't hear as many people complaining about Microsoft as much as I used to hear back in the day or am I just trolling now? :D

No, but some of the members have matured.

Like people who would cry BIN! at anything they disagreed with, and then post oversized photos of trash cansn to accompany it.  Like in the days of JJ vs. Izumi/MICROSOFT_RULEZZZ/Canadian Lover.  Worse was moderators who were more than happy to bin anything they see.  But that is starting to creep back, hence the creation of this thread.

Groing older and wiser is always a good thing just as you don't loose your sense of houmour like some people here have.

LOL!

http://www.microsuck.com/forums/showthread.php?t=8995

That thread was shit right from the miniute it started, and I was ripping MrX who had a bloody big sig that Refalm remove and he relpaced it with an even worse one and he was always posting fucktardedly large pointless shitty pictures - it's just a shame some of the more mature (boring) mods didn't get it though.

Canadian Lover was very imature, and I've read about MICROSOFT_RULEZZ too I wonder if he's the same as FireFox. If anything it's a lot stricter now than it used to be FireFox was banned but MICROSOFT_RULEZZ was just labeled a troll. I don't know about Izumi though.

By the way if you really think this is the case then why don't you give an example of a thread that shouldn't have been binned?

Solaris has probaly gone, he might have re-incarnated as FirefoxRules.
Canadian Lover, Izumi, and WINDOWS_RULEZZZ were all one and the same.
As for the creepback, it was Xeen's Divx Codecs thread.  It was binned without just cause, unbinned, and people started crying to bin it, for reasons that had gotten past moderators flak.  As soon as mods started disagreeing with a thread, it would get pushed towards the bin.

Thats bad policy that should never have happened here, and I don't want happening again.

T be honest I don't think it should've been binned, but I did call for the bin after it'd turned to shit and  that was the only reason, as there's nothing wrong with a thread on Divx Codecs.
