However, cities like Munchen, Germany, did doubt using Open Source software (Novell/SuSE obviously) because of software patents that the European Commision is keen on making an actual law.

That idiot Steve Ballmer recently said the open source including GNU/linux phenomena was like a virus in the way It's taking over the market. Actually It's the opposite. Windows has all the caracteristics of a virus.

What are you talking about, windows is a virus ;)
The meaning of my username "BobTheHob":
It is well known that "Bob" is a nickname for robert in modern times, a lesser known nickname for robert is that of "Hob". Hob is a nickname for robert from the "Middle English" dialect. This is the version of english spoken and written around the late middle ages. Thus my username can be percieved like "RobertTheRobert" which is redundant. As I always like to say "Simplicity in redundancy, and elegance in simplicity".

Indeed... a virus that works by sucking up your cash and as for your computer - that gets simply clogged by the heap of crap the install CD (and further infectious spread) dumps on it...

The question is:

Is this Hype, or Insight?

God knows I've read enough hype over the last year

Not to mention all the info Windows sends to MS, like the hardware info, and God knows what else.

Yes, but I don't understand this privacy thingie in MS's operating systems. They clearly state that they don't retrieve any personal info from your computer. But obviously several glitches in the EULA state that MS can install spyware plus all kinds of other crap on your computer.

So it's more like a giant combo-trojan-spyware-clogload thing... with certain attributes of drugs, feces and handcuffs.

This is probably one of the things I hate most about Windows, even though it doesn't affect me. I don't care if anyone sees what's on my computer as I've nothing to hide as I don't have any illegal sofware (well I've got some abandon warez but who cares)
This is not a Windows help forum, however please do feel free to sign up and agree or disagree with our views on Microsoft.

Oh and FUCKMicrosoft! :fu:
