It just keeps getting curiouser and curiouser. There's an old saying that whom the gods would destroy, they first make mad. Looks like Macro$uck is headed for the big self-destruct. After all that's happened so far, how could they be stupid enough to think they could get away with it?    It shouldn't be too much longer till there's no M$ left to kick around anymore      :D

Calum:
i reckon they can hold the fort for a while yet, now!
all the windows users have been conditioned to put up with all this crap you know, a little thing like this won't stop many people from continuing to use windows, what we really need is a campaign to educate those dumbed down users about their choices.
Most people need to realise that the comparitive ease of use of a linux system, for example, would offset the difficulty of windows to linux transition.

Here's a good link to how MS is slowly but surely raping our privacy to continue to be M$..they act like little kids caught with their hands in the cookie jar (no pun intended)..each time they get caught spying or invading our privacy they deny and lie...but they keep putting all the pieces together..direct marketers (synonym for sleazy shit) call this profiling...they sell your personal information and/or profile to sleazy porn advertisers (well, not all are porn)

Interesting you should mention that. Last spring, I got a Microsoft IntelliMouse. (No, I didn't buy it, it was given to me    ) I made the mistake of registering the damn thing over the 'Net. To this day, I keep getting these E-mails for porn sites - *every* single one of them from hotmail

How in the HELL does registering a mouse indicate an interest in "seeing teen-aged girls getting fucked" ferinstance?    (I don't have to go to any one of those sites to know they aren't talking about luscious 14-year-olds; but rather ugly-ass 19-year olds who can't "get any" in any other way  :D  ) I know it has to be registering the IntelliMouse as I *never* got even one such E-mail before then. Not only do they invade your privacy, they can't even keep their data bases straight  :D
