UT2003 is good for mods, dunno about 2004 as ive only just got it
Ever heard of unrealinvasion?
look for the unrealinvasion server in deathmatch list and prepare to download a lot of maps and mods for the first day or 2 of using it

Nope, the original UT pwns all the others, in terms of mods and everything else.
Can't beat the fast-paced gameplay of the original, UT2003/2004 are way too slow in comparison and boring.
