Windoze on Apple x86 Developer Box...
« on: 10 August 2005, 00:23 »
Haven't heard much about this... Phil Shiller says you can do it, and I was wondering if anybody had seen it or heard of it being done yet.

BTW, I wasn't sure if this belonged here or in the Apple section. I figured since it was about running Windows, that it belonged here. Mod, feel free to move it if you disagree.

There was an article about it on Think Secret.  They got XP to run without much hassle.

So Wine on OS X will certainly make Windows obsolete!

So you can run Windows on the new Macs. That doesn't answer my big question...

What the hell would possess an intelligent person to ruin a Mac by installing Windows on it?

I figure that it'd be a good selling point for game nuts who wanna ditch Windows as much as they can. They can get the Mac versions of the games, and keep Windows around for the ones that won't run on X.
