xyle_one:
I tried to look online for some information regarding CVS, and getting something running on my machine at home, but really do not know what I am looking at. What are my options, different software packages available, any decent gui front ends for osx and linux?

I will be installing this on Ubuntu Linux.
Thanks.

Are you wanting to distribute something via CVS, or get something?

Maybe:?

There's a Perl-Apache module as well.

Also, try looking around for subversion - it is supposed to be a CVS replacement.

I want to manage updates and changes to scripts and web apps that I am working on. I like the ability to roll back, and track changes. The idea, I guess, would be to have the repository on my Linux box, and be able to access that from my iBook and Desktop. So, yeah, both, distribte and get something.

CVS also seems like a good place to store some config files, as I tend to fuck with shit too often and forget to make backups :/

Void Main uses it for everything, go consult the guru.
