How many BeOS users does it take to screw in a lightbulb?
Just the one, but he has to wait for the room to revolve around him.

How many Linux users does it take to screw in a lightbulb?
25.  One to notice the bulb is out, twenty to reply with the kneejerk "format and reinstall", one to make snide remarks about recompiling the kernel, one package developer who notices the bulb is out and says he'll get around to replacing it "in due time," one to bitch that the bulb is still out, and one distro lead to finally replace the damned bulb. Countless others to bitch that the distro "spoonfeeds lightbulb installation procedures."

How many Windows users does it take to screw in a lightbulb?
I'll let you know once I finish reformatting.

Quote
17.3. How many FreeBSD hackers does it take to change a lightbulb?

One thousand, one hundred and sixty-nine:

Twenty-three to complain to -CURRENT about the lights being out;

Four to claim that it is a configuration problem, and that such matters really belong on -questions;

Three to submit PRs about it, one of which is misfiled under doc and consists only of

You'd lose the 20 "format and reinstall" crowd if they would quit letting dumbasses give advice.
