If your not running SP2, your a moron anyway.

It isn't that good, you still can't add sites to the favorites directly with a URL. And it has a few rendering issues I noticed while it loads pages up. Also the popup blocking is a little substandard to that in Firefox. It simply blocks any form of popup window, instead of just the bad ones. And some sites have both, and to get any you have to enable all of them. Microsoft have made some simple changes to it however I feel Firefox is still far ahead.

Yeah, that is because applications crash easier on SP2 because of its changes to the way the Operating System handles certain things, which helps prevent overflow attacks and the like - however it can also make applications more unstable. OpenBSD 3.8 is just as bad as it, it is even easier for things to crash on it. But it is poorly written applications, not the updates.

Is the the beta version or has it been released for real?

IE 7 doesn't have to be very good to stop peoplr from using Firefox, all it needs to do is make it appear similar to it in features the just need to have tabs, a search bar and a download manager equally shit as FireFox's, does it have the latter?
