Oh yeah. Instead of giving it away for free like everyone else did, he had put a message as a joke saying he had it. That's how the story went, and the only guy buying it was FBI or whatever.

Everyone and their dog had access to the source. He's just being made an example.

That truly sucks.
I'm often asked why I hate Microsoft - "What did they ever do to you?". Well, I'll tell you. They made dodgy programs and standards which have wasted hundreds of hours of my time involving lost work in crashes and stupidity.
