That's odd, I've never had a problem with refresh rates.I'm assuming you've tried editing your xorg.conf file? :scared:
um yeah.......fuck, How on earth did I miss the vertical refresh range property...arg :nothappy:Any way I found that extending the horizontal refresh range freed up a couple of resolutions that weren't previously available.
Oh. It can't be that bad, though, I haven't been getting headaches and it doesn't flicker.
I'm using a TFT now and it's excellent I'd imadgine that it won't be long before they're cheaper than CRTs. The reason why they were so expensive is because it's hard to manufacture them because there were lots of rejects (often >50% due to bad lines and pixels) but technology is improving this process so it's become more efficient and making them cheeper.
TFT is an LCD it just an enhancement to existing LCD technology. TFT stands for Thin Film Transistor, it's an LDC with millions of tiny transistors etched on the glass this speeds up the response and makes a sharper more clear picture. So I conclude that LCDs suck shit and TFTs rule.
