http://messageaway.com/index2.html

"After doing a little research I found the only way to block these spam messages from ever appearing on my screen required doing extensive tweaking and configuring of my computer. It didn't seem right that I had to go through so many hoops just to stop these unwanted messages."

This product costs $30.00. The Windows Messanger service can be disabled quite simply with a smallchange to the registry, or one stupid little tweak to the Administrator Control panel.

Funny thing is, Messanger service has been included in Windows for years. And the only messages you get are from scams trying to sell you stuff to stop em.

If you know how to use messange service, do the world a favor and spam the shit out of these people when they send you an advert. Then they'll get the picture.

What the fuck am I saying? Let that shit continue. Stupid ass Windows users.

This is why Windows has more software than the Mac: most of it is useless rubbish such as this which is hardly needed on Mac OS (like anti-viruses ans system "optimisers". The statistics are blioated by tons of programs designed to counter flaws of Microsoft Windows which do not exist on other operating systems.

Scroll to the end of the page: "Message Away will sit in your System Tray so you know that you are always protected against unwanted pop-up ads".

Yep, and now you have to buy another $ 30 program to remove the spyware (yes, there are free ones like AdAware and Spybot, but do most Windows users even know?)

Heres a thought.. the windows messenger service that pplare using to  spam  users unawares,  is used by NT admins, but not much anyone else, so honestly it should be  set to disabled at  installation

Disabled on XP Home, Enabled on XP Pro is how it should come.
