I'm often asked why I hate Microsoft - "What did they ever do to you?". Well, I'll tell you. They made dodgy programs and standards which have wasted hundreds of hours of my time involving lost work in crashes and stupidity.

350MHZ Balmer, 128 meg ddr chair, 4 gig of long room and a 24x google.
Windows XP Service Pack 2. Because we couldn't be arsed the first time.

Windows 98 Second Edition. Look, now you don't need that bloody CD to install new hardware.

Windows Vista. Even your computer knows you have a small penis.

Windows Blackcomb. We are planning the OS after Vista, which is allready a year late.

Windows ME, the Marmite Operating System.

XP Mobile. Take your errors with you.

The reason why it's so slow is because it retardidly emulates 86x hardware which is fair enough if you're running it on a Mac but is pointless on an 86x when all you need is a virtual machine like Vmware or MS virtual machine.

Forgot to mention this...the only problem with using VMware in place of DOSBox is that it emulates hardware from after the real DOS era, so DOS drivers for its sound/video card are hard/impossible to come by.  DOSBox just emulates a typical VGA card with limited VESA and a SoundBlaster 16.

DOSEMU isn't VMware, I was just comparing it to VMWare. DOSEMU is a custom made virtual machine specifically designed to run FreeDOS, it emulates the sound blaster and graphics (I think the latter is only emulated when running in a Window) without having to do the hard and pointless processor emulation.

We are talking about a 100MHz laptop here, though. ;)

Yes, that's already been suggested but we decided it was to slow because it emulates the processor which is isn't needed unless it's being used on a Mac.
