NET Server

After being threatened with my job if I didn't try .NET server out on one of our test machines, I did (I wish I was self employed, and had I pushed a little harder on my boss, I might have been...) I dunno what I can and can't say, so I'll be vague, sorry (Damn EULAs). Remember, this is coming from me, not M$.

The Good:
Is the bloat gone?!?
  No luna
  Most screensavers ditched
  Most accessories trashed
  Very clean on startup
Command line improved
No gaming capability whatsoever (Good and Bad)
IIS setup in 4 mins
Boots faster (When you need to reboot daily, I guess this is good)

The bad:
Activation in corp. products!
It's Windows!
It's Microsoft!
Not Open Source!
Not free (when it comes out, anyway...maybe        )
No gaming capability whatsoever (Good and Bad)
Still "Integrated" With IE and WMP
Too many accessories trashed! (Some useful ones gone)
Questionable Stability (Still In Testing)
STILL doesn't work with Netgear hardware (FUCK IT...IT'S COMING OFF NOW! :mad: )

Don't flame me, don't kill my rating, I'm stating fact. It's still M$, the place I work has no intention of purchasing it. We just like to know our options, that's all. And I am just telling you what I saw without any curve, that's it.

You can't be smart without knowing the competition. But if I were you I would take 2 or 3 long hot showers in a row to get that filthy feeling scrubbed off as much as possible!

That's bad news.  You run a server, have to update some hardware, you get slowed down in the activation.  Now if you have a large group of these beasts, need to update hardware in all of them, imagine calling microsoft and wasting hours on the phone convincing them that you are not a thief.

WTF?  You need an integrated WMP for a server???
