I was looking for a simple program that could graph ethernet traffic activity ... I couldn't make any of the ones I found work except for GKrellM. (http://members.dslextreme.com/users/billw/gkrellm/gkrellm.html) GKrellm can monitor more things than just ethernet ... it can monitor harddrive usage, # processes, # users, cpu usage, specific ports, and voltages and temperatures (if supported). I dunno ... I just thought it was a cool program and a nice desktop addition.

I've used it before but it doesn't fit nicely on the screen.
Do you use GNOME? If you do then the System Monitor panel applet is very nice (I use that).

It comes with Vector Linux SOHO, its ok. I should look into getting some skins for it.
