Umm... is that the windows Opreating System or an application?

It's an application equivalent of an OS "Miscellaneous Exception" error; choice phrasing, though.

Unless it won't work forget about it. Trying to understand a Windows error message is like trying to decipher the dead sea scrolls with a 3rd grade education.

Hmm, in "3rd grade" English that means appA tried to start AppB and AppB threw an error back at AppA, Or a function of AppA called another function of AppA and the function threw an error back.
AppA is jsut lettin' you know about it! ;)
-
Then wouldn't: "appA tried to open X and encountered an error" be simpler and more comprehendible? We can't expect to know what the actual error was now could we?

Windows and basically all Windows apps are written for noobs, why aren't the error messages?

Probably because a your typical computer noob wouldn't know what an error message meant ("I can't find the "any" key!") no matter how simple you write it.

its a windows OS error, it just pop ups randomly, and at boot

This is breaking my self-imposed area-code postcount restriction, but it looks an awful lot like the remnants of some obscure pest (worm, trojan, spyware, Messenger spoofer - take your pick). What kind of protection does this system have?

i had just run IEradicator

an invocation ? ... of Satan ? ... of Bill Gates ?

/me puts hand below chin, making squid-like face
*garble-garble-gibble-garble*
Put another way: "Or Cthulu" (though if you were to comprehend what I actually said, your mind would implode and your sanity would evaporate).

:tux:says : Simply stated, (not what you have there) Exception A (error) was thrown (implied that no action was called) by the invoking application. Yeah. I see how that looks. Basically your machine is telling you that The application that attempted to initiate action (X) was linked to another application that then told it to go to hell. Heh.
Agreed as to possibility of this being remnants of malware, as the message contents of that pop-up is in an non-standard format from what M$ usually dishes out. A Matching fuction call should be listed in the machine log files though, which would at a minimum guide you to the area of the winBlows registry that actually produced that pop-up .

Fool, he needs to stop the target of the invocation from throwing exceptions!
...doesn't that just drum up images of Steve Ballmer somehow? :D
-
My Win98 partition's throwing up all kinds of shit... apparently, DirectX doesn't recognize my onboard sound chipset, despite updated drivers being installed.
I might have to put it down....:P

That poor little 1.7 celeron :(

What are you doing running 98 one of the worst Windows ever?
Is it just for compatability with old stuff (which is why I run it)?
