Actually, the cell phone thing might work better if you plug in a heating element into the battery leads ... assuming the battery doesn't explode if you do this.

I think you'd need a low voltage heating element and even if you did the battery would be drained before it even got hot enough to cook the egg.

Yeah, god knows I have a range in my trunk, and LOVE transporting a kerosene Coleman in 100+ F weather. ;)

Or you could make your own milti-purpose microwave gun (http://www.powerlabs.org/uwavexp.htm) :D (highly dangerous as well)
I remember I saw one used by some pest-control company to cook roaches in walls (had to be tuned to a specific frequency so as not to damage other things)
