no wonder the pictures in my sig disappeared ... oh well ... using imageshack (http://imageshack.us/) for now
-
That's odd, I'm just getting an empty directory listing for them.
-
Check the calendar lately?
-
Hmmm ... April 1 ... April fools ? But ... the other image sites stayed up ...
-
illhostit was sold to another company a few months back...and now I believe they cleared the server, my site is down, and so is my custom link to view peoples uploads. who knows what might have happend.
-
It used to be quite good in that you could upload any sort of file and it was reliable but now it's turned to shit.
-
So that must be why my forum's been slow today...
-
I owned it. I took a job with our network provider, my partner got the servers back (he invested the money to buy them) and ran it for a while, he wasn't technical enough to maintain it, lost interest, and decide he'd rather stop spending money on datacenter space and the server is now down. I will get the contents of various hosted sites on the server (like heatedebates) soon and give them to the appropriate owners.
The domain, which is still owned by me, was moved to another server when this one was shutdown. It has no content, and I have no immediate plans to get the file hosting service back online. The site was not hacked.
... And your site may have appeared slow because the IP to the 2nd nameserver was removed, causing some DNS lookup timeouts.
-
Ah. Stryker.
Will my forum be back up soon?
-
So why is Illhostit.com now a ReqBlaster site?
-
a domain harvester ... harvested it ?
or did you sould the domain to another company ?
-

its not? That was just an april fools joke someone took a false screenshot of.

April Fools: The gift that keeps on giving (even weeks later). :D
-
Well the old saying goes who ever tries to fool someone after noone on April the 1st is the greatest fool of all.
-

It's hardly a screenshot. It's running ASP.NET and I tried searching for C# coders in Alabama and I got a list.
-
How is it not a screenshot? He went to another site, and changed what appears in the address bar, and took a screenshot. There's nothing wrong with the site. Perhaps you are infected with something.

Take a good look here:

It's hardly a screenshot.

That page has now gone away for me (it was there yesterday though). Now it's a a directory with one file called "textfun.dmg". But that file is 404 also.
-
It's not a screenshot, I get that site as well.
And Refalm that proxy doesn't seem to work.

I'm not bitter, but couldn't you have told this to your customers? Rather than a lame forum post after the fact?

I don't have any customers, nor access to any of their contact information. I don't know if they were notified or not.
I am, with permission from the owner, taking care of distributing files back to the appropriate owners.
