Oh, god. It looks even worse than before.
-
I'm still sure the is a design principle about to much blue on screen....I must find it.
Looks even more Ficher Price to me, I mean how clunky can they get???
-
It looks better from a designer point-of-view. Less blue, transparant toolbars.
But the rest is shit. Longhorn is pumped full with useless crap and looks like an overgrown Windows Media Player. You might as well call it "Microsoft Windows Media Player 10", just as you've might as well called Windows ME "Internet Explorer 7".
Just look at this (http://www.winsupersite.com/images/showcase/lh-winhec-03.png) one. 80 GHz of RAM? Sure... I guess you get super-ultra-DDR-RAM v. 6.66 bundled when you buy Windows Longhorn Professional...
And what's up with that "Professional" crap? At least Microsoft tried to form a little difference in with Windows XP between the "Home" and "Professional" edition. But Longhorn's Professional edition looks like Fisherprise to me. How am I supposed to do professional things like rendering 3D movies, Photoshopping etc. when all those useless Microsoft crap keeps hogging up the recourses. Microsoft should make Longhorn more light-weight before trying to sell this useless piece of crap.

Those icons for music are a 100 % ripoff of Apple

I saw it and used it myself. It was not pretty. I thought it might improve after a few versions, but it's even uglier (if that's even possible). I got a headache just looking at the interface to take screenshots. I'm not kidding.
I thought about reviewing it, but I don't want to help them with my feedback until it's finished.

since you used it, how are all the new features that(longhorn)claims to have?
or is it still XP? Microsoft said they were rebuilding from the ground up, and not basing Longhorn off of XP. So is it the same, have anythings improved at all?

No. It is Blackcomb they are remaking from scratch. Longhorn is based on NT, like XP. And there's not much improvement. Also, it takes 1.8 gigs and is VERY slow and clunky. The interface is huge and bulky, even on a 17" screen; it's almost unusable with a resolution lower than 1024x768.
Here are some of my comments on Longhorn:

boy that looks SCARY!
-
Nah, Longhorn isn't Windows Media Player 10. It's "Windows Media Center 3 PC version".
-
it looks like shit. needs less clutter, and more thought put into the logic of its interface. I will never buy longhorn, or download a ripped copy. longhorn will never go onto any of my computers. rar.

I've got the new Long Horn Slogan:
Looks like XP to me!
-
I prefer 'It's just a lot of bull'. Classic, but always funny.
-
I installed a version of LongHorn just to check it out and it's true what you say about the useless crap. I dont know what M$ built into LH but with a clean install it was using around 286 mb of main ram and was slow as hell. I then began to format and remove that foul shit.
