I've taken this test before (different sight though). I got the same result.
It should be noted that this test is not "quack" science but rather an actual working test designed to find out your personality. And that last link you gave discribes me to a T. It's scary how accurate it is.

If this is 3.3% of total population, then why am I the fourth person here with INTP?

That might be because we're almost all computer geeks posting on an anti-establishment (ie. Anti-MS) site.

I (and the test) happen to believe I am an INTP.  But the one certainty in psychological research is that nobody can judge themselves.  We seem incapable of knowing the true nature of our own personalities.  Have your sister or your girlfriend take the test for you - that will probably be a more accurate description of your true personality.

I'm INTP as well.

INTP is very common with computer nerds and I believe current society encourages it a lot more than previous generations.

Planner Inspector: ISTJ

Theme is planning and monitoring, ensuring predictable quality. Thorough, systematic and careful. See discrepancies, omissions, and pitfalls. Talents lie in administrating and regulating. Dependable, realistic, and sensible. Want to conserve the resources of the organization, group, family or culture and persevere toward that goal. Thrive on planning ahead and being prepared. Like helping others through their roles as parent, supervisor, teammate, and community volunteer.

or, because I have a 50 - 50 in perceiving/Judging, I could be as well;

Quote:
ISTP - "Engineer". Values freedom of action and following interests and impulses. Independent, concise in speech, master of tools. 5.4% of total population.

Quote:
ISTP

Take pride in their style and virtuosity, which they seem to effortlessly acquire.

Which both are accurate for me.
