I was wondering after you completely restarted your computer, are the hidden files completely erased? Or is it still there?

You probably wont be back to read this, but any files you erase in dos stay on the hard drive until the sector is reused. There are programs which write over the data several times with junk code then wipe the data blank. Im not exactly sure of the names... there is one called clean disk security...
